The study recommends development of two mixed indicators for Uruguay: one that describes and measures the level of green employment, and one that describes and measures the levels of green investment. The implementation of the green economy policies that were assessed would allow Uruguay to achieve improved economic, social and environmental performance without negatively impacting or with slight positive impacts in the level and quality of employment, and a more rational use (and protection) of natural resources. Similarly, the policies assessed would make the country more resilient to the effects of climate change.
