The overall goal of this study was to facilitate Burkina Faso to seize the opportunities that transitioning to a green economy can offer. Based on solid arguments and economy-wide analysis, this study provides a framework for green investments in Burkina Faso, which will kick-start the county’s transition towards a low-carbon, resource efficient economy. The study focuses on six priority sectors: agriculture, livestock, forestry, water, energy and mining identified through stakeholder consultation on their potential contribution to the country’s economic growth and job creation, reduction of poverty and overall transition to a green economy.
