This report presents the results of an analysis mandated by the Ministère de l'Agriculture et de l’Équipement Rural to study the multi-sectoral and long-term impacts of the Programme d’Accélération de la Cadence de l’Agriculture Sénégalaise (PRACAS) and provide policy recommendations for its implementation as well as for the development of the next post-2017 agricultural master plans. Some of the recommendations include significantly increasing the budget for training and focusing on training in agroecological techniques, strengthening support for family farming, and reducing the share of expenditures for irrigation.
