About the event

As policy challenges become more complex, building expertise in systems thinking and systems modeling is increasingly important for effective planning and decision-making. The Millennium Institute’s training programs are designed to develop these skills, using the Sustainable Development Simulator and modeling tools as core components of the learning process. Training participants engage with real-world cases, interactive exercises, and model-based analysis to strengthen their ability to design, test, and evaluate integrated policies.

In webinar we will cover:

  • The structure, content, and objectives of Millennium Institute’s systems thinking and modeling training programs

  • How the Sustainable Development Simulator and related models are used to develop skills in scenario analysis, policy evaluation, and strategic planning

  • Examples of recent training programs, including work with the Institute of National Planning (Egypt), and the European Commission.

This webinar is intended for policymakers, planners, professionals in international agencies, students, researchers, and others seeking to build capacity in integrated analysis and simulation-based policy design.
