Based in Germany, Max is a Modeler and Policy Analyst whose work focuses on national sustainable development strategy, cross-linkages of sustainability indicators, energy autonomy of municipalities, municipal material flow analysis, capacity building for public administration on the use of systems thinking, and systems diagramming for complexity management. Max has provided advice on strategy to national and local governments, and private sector clients on issues such as climate change, emissions trading, corporate social responsibility and sustainability. His work with governments has mainly involved developing strategies for economic growth and overall national sustainability. Max also has expertise conducting knowledge elicitation interviews with experts for conceptualization and validation of system dynamics models. Max’s country experience includes Germany, Norway, Senegal, Swaziland, Namibia, and USA. Max holds a Master in System Dynamics degree from University of Bergen, a Master in Business Administration from Radboud University of Nijmegen, and a Master in Sustainable Resource Management from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
