Courses on System Dynamics and Complexity for Sustainability with the iSDG Model
Spring and Fall 2022

The ERASME Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Sustainability in partnership with Millennium Institute is organizing an online course on System Dynamics this spring, and two residential summer schools in the fall in Laschamps, France.

SYSTEM DYNAMICS ONLINE COURSE

The System Dynamics Online Course aims to introduce NGO practitioners, policymakers, and academics to thinking in systems, understanding the dynamic nature of system behavior and acquiring basic system dynamic modeling skills using the ISDG model. The course will be offered in English and French, and take place from May 2 - 27, 2022. Deadline for applications is April 15th.

SUMMER SCHOOL ON SYSTEM DYNAMICS FOR SUSTAINABILITY

The bilingual (English/French) Summer School on System Dynamics for Sustainability is targeted at NGO practitioners, policymakers, graduate and postgraduate students; and equips them to apply dynamic modeling tools to issues encountered in their areas of work using the iSDG model. The System Dynamics Online Course is a prerequisite for participation in the summer school. Deadline for applications is April 15th.

SUMMER SCHOOL ON COMPLEXITY SCIENCE FOR SUSTAINABILITY

The Summer School on Complexity Science for Sustainability will bring together a group of advanced graduate students and faculty, and professionals working in the public and private sectors, to apply tools from complexity science to the participants' own sustainability projects. Expert lecturers will present on applying and developing complexity science tools for sustainability in their own work. Deadline for applications is April 25th.

The two summer schools will take place simultaneously from August 1 - 14, 2022 in Laschamps, a small village in the Auvergne Volcano Area, close to Clermont Ferrand, France. Dedicated networking activities between participants of both courses will be available. Limited scholarships are available. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
